Upcoming Continuing Education Modules
Every few years we develop and host a new continuing education course designed for our graduates and other osteopathic manual practitioners. These courses are meant to help advance existing practitioner’s skills and to adhere to continuing education requirements for practitioners.
Previous topics have included Vertigo, Advanced Cranial, Advanced Visceral, Meridian Balance & Somatic System and Meridian Balance & Visceral System.
Upcoming Continuing Education Modules
Integration of the Meridian Balance Method into Osteopathic assessment and treatment of somatic system.
Students will be introduced to the basis of Traditional Chinese Medicine. They will learn how to palpatory assess the major meridians. Students will study osteopathic manual techniques to treat affected meridians and pathological conditions related with these meridian imbalances using Meridian Balance Method. Conditions that can be successfully treated following the protocol of meridional assessment and treatment include the myofascial, discogenic and posttraumatic pain syndromes in the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine, shoulder, elbow and wrist joints, hip, knee and ankle joints, as well as the cranial region and abdominal region.

Integration of the Meridian Balance Method into Osteopathic assessment and treatment of visceral system.
Students will be introduced to the basis of Traditional Chinese Medicine. They will learn palpatory assessment of the major meridians. This assessment will include Hara Diagnosis – a Japanese assessment method of the body using an abdomen as a microsystem. Students will study osteopathic manual techniques to treat affected meridians and pathological conditions of internal organs related with these meridian imbalances using Meridian Balance Method. The list of the conditions that can be successfully treated following the protocol of meridional assessment and treatment will include pathological conditions of the lungs, heart, liver, stomach, genitourinary organs, large and small intestine (eg. bronchitis, gastroesophageal reflux disease, constipation, irritable bowel syndrome, PMS, infertility, bladder infection and others).
