Student Clinic
Osteopathic student treatments are performed by final year students and are supervised by an instructor who is a Registered Manual Osteopathic Practitioner.
What is Manual Osteopathy?
Manual Osteopathy focuses on total body health by treating and strengthening the musculoskeletal framework, which includes the joints, muscles and spine. Its aim is to positively affect the body’s nervous, circulatory and lymphatic systems. The goal of an osteopathic manual treatment is to restore the normal functioning of the affected areas of the body with somatic dysfunctions by stimulating a more appropriate healing process and interrelations between different systems of the human body (musculoskeletal, nervous, circulatory, pulmonary, digestive system etc).
Student treatments are offered at a discounted rate!
All of our students are already health practitioners and have met our entrance requirements. Student clinic rotations include observation and practice on peers outside of class time. In their final year, students may treat the public only after meeting the necessary requirements. Students work alongside practicing osteopathic practitioners and are supervised closely. Student clinic is an extremely valuable part of our student’s education and is a requirement before beginning their professional practices.
We are committed to first class, affordable care for all our patients. Our caring and personalized service, patient satisfaction and the customer feedback we receive shows that every student can make a significant impact on the lives of others.
I have been coming to SOCO for almost 10 years, and they saved me after my car accident.
