Students will learn the osteopathic approach in assessment and treatment of the cervical spine. This 2 part course reviews the anatomy, physiology, and pathology of the cervical region, followed by assessment and treatment for dysfunctions and conditions related to this region.

Students are encouraged to become more familiar with the soft and bony structures in this region using their palpation and applying safe and effective treatment techniques.

Cranial Osteopathy (2 parts)

Students will be introduced to the cranial concept in osteopathy. This 2 part course reviews the anatomy of the cranium, followed by assessment and treatment for dysfunction and conditions related to this region.

This course is designed for students to expand their anatomical and physiological knowledge in this region and to enhance their palpation skills while using the techniques to treat different dysfunctions.

Students will learn the best approach to help patients with hip and knee joint osteoarthritis and different posttraumatic conditions. This course reviews anatomy of the lower extremity, followed by assessment and treatment for dysfunctions and conditions related to this region.

Numerous treatment techniques including myofascial release, soft tissue, muscle energy, counterstrain, facilitated positional release, ligamentous articular strain, oscillatory and low-velocity high amplitude techniques will be covered.

This module will give the students a modern clinical view of a very common problem –lower back pain. Students will learn how to differentiate between discogenic, myofascial and other types of lower back pain syndromes and what osteopathic techniques would be the best for each clinical situation.

This course reviews the anatomy of the lumbar region, followed by assessment and treatment for dysfunctions and conditions related to this region. Our pelvic module will help students understand the role of the pelvis in biomechanics, physiology, and pathology. This course reviews anatomy of the pelvic region, followed by assessment and treatment for dysfunctions and conditions related to this region using the most effective osteopathic techniques.

Pelvic floor syndrome and pelvic ligaments will be discussed in details.
