This course reviews the anatomy of the thoracic region, followed by assessment and treatment for dysfunctions and conditions related to this region. Students will learn the osteopathic approach in assessment and treatment of the thoracic region. It will include the autonomic nervous system’s assessment and treatment.

Numerous treatment techniques including myofascial release, soft tissue, muscle energy, counterstrain, facilitated positional release, functional, ligamentous articular strain, oscillatory and low-velocity high amplitude techniques will be learned.

Tendinopathies, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel and other syndromes will be discussed during this module with the best assessment and treatment approaches for each condition. This course reviews the anatomy of the upper extremities, followed by assessment and treatment for dysfunctions and conditions related to this region.

Visceral Osteopathy

Visceral Osteopathy (2 Parts)

This 2 part course teaches the anatomy, physiology, and pathology of the internal organs and their relationship with the somatic system. Students learn how to assess each visceral organ using palpation, percussion and auscultation and what visceral manipulative techniques will correct visceral dysfunctions.

This course will help students become more confident when treating visceral dysfunctions through proper use of consent, gentle hands-on techniques.
